Variations on a theme: Paintings done at the same time, in the same mood

I have a new creative way of working. While working on one painting, I try out new techniques on a nearby second canvas. When I find a wonderful new technique, I add it to the first painting, and eventually I finish both paintings.
 

I’m very pleased with this creative way of getting to a new desired effect. The results are these pairs and groupings of paintings below. They work equally well separately or together
(except for the diptychs which are mostly designed to be sold as pairs). 

And don’t ask: I will never reveal which one I painted first!
